The Australian Awards for 大学 教学 (AAUT) were established in 1997 by the Australian Government to celebrate 和 reward excellence in university teaching. 从那时起, the Awards have become a valued form of recognition for university educators Australia wide.
The AAUT recognise the impact that educators have on the learning 和 teaching experiences 和 outcomes of university students. They celebrate 和 reward programs 和 practices that support students 和 enhance learning. They promote excellence in learning 和 teaching in all aspects of higher education. 收件人, with the support of their institutions, contribute to systemic change in learning 和 teaching through the ongoing sharing 和 dissemination of knowledge.

They are awarded to programs 和 services that have set high st和ards for learning 和 teaching activities in Australian higher education institutions. Program award is open to team nominations only.

The Award for Australian 大学 年度最佳教师 is the premier university teaching award. Among the 教学 Award recipients, one individual with an exceptional record of advancing student learning, educational leadership 和 scholarly contribution to learning 和 teaching will be awarded the Award for Australian 大学 年度最佳教师.
In 2020, Universities Australia has reinstated the 成就奖 that occasionally awarded to one or more individuals who have met the following criteria:
Each nominee is required to prepare a submission consisting of a written statement, 及相关证明文件. This submission is referred to as a “nomination” Once completed, the Institutional 联系 Officer (ICO) is responsible for the online submission of all nominations for their institution. The ICO will be notified of the award outcomes via email.
学术提名是开放的, general 和 sessional staff (full-time or fractional, continuing or contract) of an Australian institution. Only those institutions listed in Table A 和 Table B under Subdivision 16–B of the Higher 教育 Support Act (2003) are eligible to nominate for the AAUT.

These sessions provide valuable information 和 sharing of insights from previous award recipients as well as from those who assess the awards.
